Privacy and what goes online

No account, no telemetry – and exactly what connects.

No account, no telemetry

NiveDock has no sign-in, no telemetry and no ads. Your settings stay on your PC.

Only features that need the internet connect to it. The service can see your IP address when you connect:

Weather, prices and search – NiveDock's data service (data.nivedock.com), which gets a place name, stock or coin symbols, the search text and the language.
Exchange rates – European Central Bank (Czech National Bank as a backup).
Calendars you subscribe to (ICS links), straight from the link you add.
Missing album covers – iTunes and Wikipedia (can be switched off).
With a licence – nivedock.com, for updates and the list of revoked licences. Optional error reports are described in the Privacy notice.
